About the Artist

 

Welcome to the website of Susan Alltree, an animal loving, bass playing, artist.

 

I cannot impress you with any professional artistic qualifications, the phrase ‘a self-taught artist’ may be a suitable way to describe me, but I did not really teach myself anything, I just enjoyed drawing.

I live in the Northwest of England, and when I discovered pastels as a teenager,  the first thing I drew was a well-known local landmark called ‘Fiddlers Ferry' a power station which could be drawn twice as fast today, as the original 8 towers have dwindled to 4.

 

My second attempt with pastels was Bob Marley, many a rock star and actor portrait then followed.

Over the years I have been commissioned to do portraits of people and animals, and now I would like to make this a more regular occurrence and hope having my own website may help to reach a wider audience.
