What I will need from you

A clear photo of the subject

The better the photo, the better the resemblance

When taking a photo try to get on the same level as the animal rather than looking down at them

You can see on this page two examples of great photos, ok the first one of Bailey the Labrador was taken by a professional photographer Julian Bound, but the 2nd of Amber the Cocker Spaniel was taken by the family

You can also see an example of a photo that would not be a suitable reference for a portrait, as we can't see Naughty Normans face
